@pesto12601 : Well, it is best to be cautious and when we make at home it is good to use clean water and proper hygiene and make the amount that can be consumed within a weeks time.

watch out for the salmonella… bacteria if you don’t use these quickly… sprouts at the center of so many health problems lately..

i made it today and came out really good, every one liked it in my house. i cooked sprouted for 4 min. thanks for posting this easy recipe.

@99iamwhoiam sunflower sprouts? cooked peas? chickpeas/garbanzo? minced pieces of firm/crisp/crunchy raw vegetables like carrot, celery, etc.? just some ideas
Oh thank you – I usually end up tossing my mung sprouts because a little makes so much! I’ll have to gather some ingredients and make this!!
They are different. We have never tried to sprout pigeon peas so are not sure about the outcome.
This recipe looks great! I want to try it. I’m trying to figure out if green mungs are the same thing as pigeon peas but google doesn’t want to answer hehe. Do you guys, by any chance know if they are the same? And if they are not, do you know if I could replace the green mungs with pigeon peas? Thanks
We have not tried sprouted lentils raw but it seems like you should be able to substitute them. Bottom line, if the lentils taste good raw, then they should be okay in this recipe.

blanch the sprouts before adding onions and tomatoes… other wise it is lil difficult to chew..
