Salad Skewers

The Salad Skewers on the Hyatt menu has been on my mind since last Friday! I was bummed that my kids didn’t order it so I could see what it looked like, but it wasn’t too difficult to imagine.  Instead, I decided we’d make our own and see what the kids thought of it.

These salad skewers are a great way to get your kids the recommended 3-5 cups of fruits and vegetables per day.  Kids who get the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables:

  • Have Improved immunity
  • Maintain a healthier weight
  • Have better vision and skin
  • Have more energy to play
  • Have a preference for healthier food!
  • Have better brain function.
  • Have better sleep.

To make Salad Skewers, we imagined what types of salads we love and what ingredients go well together.  We came up with these four variations.
