Looks really good but I suggest to cook the flour with the butter to cook off the raw flour taste but great job!

I added milk to make it more soupy and found it slightly bland so I added more Worcestershire and hot sauce…it came out great! Perfect dinner for a cold, rainy night!

yes another thickening agent you can use is a slurry made with cold water and cornstarch.

Ya you should be able to use heavy cream or milk you just need to adjust your thickening agent towards which ever you use. i.e. milk may require a little more and the heavy cream may take less.

Being that its clam chowder if you substitute the clam juice youd kill alot of the flavor.
