I’ve been experimenting with Indian vegetables and recently tried an Indian vegetable whose taste reminded me of asparagus: drumstick. It was very tasty, like asparagus. However, going into it blindly, I didn’t realize there is a tough stick-like skeleton to the vegetable, and people usually scrape the soft flesh with their teeth. This is not necessary with asparagus.
